DEKODUR – your specialist for decorative laminates. DEKODUR always comes to mind when one is
thinking about decorative laminated panels because the traditional company is well-known for its various
designs of prestigious laminated panels. DEKODUR has consistently upheld its vision of offering
surprising innovations to customers continually by means of applying its curiosity, innovative power
and orientation to service. DEKODUR began to produce laminated panels made from melamine resin
first of all and then it became the first manufacturer to produce laminates with real metal surfaces when
the 1960s began; which was a milestone in the laminated panel's history. Panels that were created
and painted by international artists followed later on and the product was transformed from a building
material into a versatile eye-catcher. Today, we are proud to offer you a revolutionary new product and
ecologically valuable alternative to commonly used HPL:

New ideas are setting new standards nowadays: translucent laminated panels as well as surfaces
covered with real gold leaf, fig tree bark or glass are opening up a wide spectrum of uses. Claddings

History:

We are writing the year 1846. Johann Ludwig André buys a mill in Hirschhorn
along the river Neckar and founds the „Sägewerk Gebrüder André” („Sawmill
Brothers André”). Two creeks surround the property and he uses the water
provided by these streams to power his mill. By 1851 the first German Veneer
Company is born out of this venture.
Until the 80´s of this past century round timbers received from all over the
world were processed - satisfying the demand and providing veneers for the
entire interior-fitting industry.
More than 100 years later: Marc-Anton André, sixth generation, puts in the
foundation stone for the enterprise DEKODUR in August 1959. Five months
later the first decorative high pressure laminate is being produced - soon to
be followed by an innovation, which remains unsurpassed until today: a decorative
high pressure laminate with a real-metal surface.
Today, the company is managed by the 7th and 8th generation, namely his son
Volkmar André and his grandson Christopher André. What has remained the
same, however, are our curiosity, innovativeness, and our absolute commit-
ment to excellent customer service. What stayed are the curiosity, the power
of innovation, and the aim to put forth the best service possible. We continue
to surprise our customers developing novelties. May it be the combination of
material, design, or structures: surfaces of copper were just the beginning.
What followed were real-metal surfaces made of aluminium, stainless steel,
brass and tin. These innovations bare one thing in common: the brand name
DEKODUR. In the 1980´s art is added to the product-range of DEKODUR: a group
of international artists begins – at our request – to develop new techniques.
New colours, amazing designs, and – thus far unknown - application possibilities
are hereby being introduced. Each high pressure laminate truly unique –
DEKODUR changes from the commonly known and applied developmental
material to the versatile eye-catcher within the (interior) architecture.

The classical copper reaches - by applying new structures and application techniques - new highly
aesthetic dimensions. Today, where architecture and light continue to create an exciting new symbiosis
DEKODUR offers the translucent high pressure laminate. This new laminate with its multiple variations
in design, material and colour is what dreams are made of. DEKODUR works with high pressure on new
developments in the sector of decorative high pressure laminates. Be prepared to find out how we
